🎵 Titanium – David Guetta ft. Sia (https://youtu.be/JRfuAukYTKg?si=IlTQTUzmIC-ocz73)
Well, it’s finally happened. I’ve had my usual little burst of energy since chemo yesterday, but alongside that my hair has been coming out more and more. No pixie cut left to disguise what’s happening, I’d reached the point where hanging onto it was becoming really annoying as it looked thinner and thinner so tonight, I got my son to shave it off.
And here I am. i actually feel quite liberated!

I officially look like a legit cancer patient now. 😂
It was actually far more poignant than I expected. Last time I lost my hair to chemo, that same boy was only four years old. He had to watch his mum suddenly look completely different, without really being old enough to understand why. Eighteen years later, he’s the one holding the clippers.
I’ve thought a lot recently about how strange and frightening it must have been for both the kids. They gave me such a huge reason to fight the first time around and now they are both standing beside me while I do it all over again.
So that’s another milestone ticked off – hair officially gone.
And yes, I’m still smiling and yes it’s still me with or without hair. Bulletproof against cancer and nothing left to lose ❤️

PS just had a bath and forgot how fab it is dunking your head under the water and not having to dry your hair off after 😂🥰
